Located on the beautiful MS Gulf Coast Gulfport Behavioral Health System is a 90-bed psychiatric hospital offering child, adolescent, adult, substance abuse, and military service behavioral health programs and treatment services. Position Summary:
Join a team where the O utpatient Program Therapist plans, provides, coordinates, documents, and evaluates direct and indirect social services to adult and adolescent IOP/PHP patients in accordance with established methods and procedures of the hospital. Will conduct group therapy, family therapy, case management, treatment planning, rounding with clinical staff, discharge/care planning and follow-up, and resource development/assistance.
Qualifications
Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
Experience : Preferably a minimum of two (2) years' experience and in a psychiatric health care facility or outpatient setting, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
License: LCSW, LMSW or LPC license to practice in the State of Mississippi preferred.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification and CPI certification (management of aggressive behavior training) within 90 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Training may be obtained during new hire orientation.
