This medical center is part of a well-established healthcare network in the Atlanta metro area with multiple locations including comprehensive medical centers in Sandy Springs, Jonesboro, and Kennesaw. The facility provides specialized ophthalmology services to patients throughout the region.

Job Details:
• Locum tenens opportunity with approximately 10 patient encounters per shift
• Must have an active Georgia medical license - this is required to bid on this position
• Credentialing timeframe of approximately 21 days
• Non-surgical and surgical/invasive ophthalmology skills preferred
• Experience with non-surgical/LASER procedures including cryotherapy preferred
• Proficiency with various laser procedures including anterior segment, posterior segment, and YAG laser preferred
• Surgical skills preferred for cataract removal (phacoemulsification, extracapsular extraction, intracapsular extraction with intraocular lens implant)
• Experience with glaucoma and corneal procedures preferred (lamellar keratectomy, transplant)
• Refractive surgery skills preferred (LASIK, PRK or radial keratectomy)
• Posterior segment skills preferred including vitreo-retinal procedures and intra-ocular injections
• Experience with strabismus surgery and plastic and orbital surgery preferred
• Diagnostic skills preferred: ultrasound interpretation (A and B-Scan), photo interpretation, fluorescein angiography interpretation, and optical coherence tomography interpretation
• May work across multiple affiliated facilities in the Atlanta metro area including locations in Sandy Springs, Jonesboro, and Kennesaw

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid Travel and Lodging.
