Employment Type: Full Time, 1.0 FTE, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Pay: $22.14 - $28.78/hour, depending on experience.

Summary:

As an Ophthalmic Imaging Assistant, you will be trained to operate specialized equipment and perform imaging procedures. You will support patient care and assist with the patient flow under the direct supervision of an eye care provider.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient care and streamline patient flow under supervision.
• Conduct diagnostic imaging and testing, including the administration of intravenous agents for retinal angiography.
• Document procedures, provide patient education, and manage billing processes.
• Perform various clinical and administrative duties to support the eye care team.
• Utilize critical thinking and judgment to make prompt decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification is required within the first 30 days of hire.
• Completion of the Ophthalmic Assistant Home Study Course within one year of hire or obtaining Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross, valid before start date.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant healthcare experience is needed.
