Join our dedicated team at UCHealth Eye Center in Lone Tree, CO, as an Ophthalmic Care Technician! In this part-time role, you'll support eye care providers in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring the proper usage of medical instruments.

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Eye Center, 10470 Bannock Street, Lone Tree, CO

Shift: Days

Pay Range: $24.11 - $36.17 per hour, based on relevant experience.

Role Summary:

As an Ophthalmic Care Technician, you'll assist with patient care activities including basic ophthalmic testing, diagnostic procedures, and medication administration. Your contributions will help facilitate the clinical flow and enhance the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist eye care providers with patient care under direct supervision, demonstrating proficiency in core ophthalmic competencies.
• Perform essential ophthalmic testing procedures and assist with minor procedures.
• Manage documentation, patient education, and charge entry.
• Utilize critical thinking and make decisive judgments while working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA), Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT), or National Contact Lens Examiner Certification (NCLEC) if performing contact lens-related tasks.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization.
• Two years of sponsored on-the-job ophthalmic training or an ophthalmic internship is required.
