Join a dedicated team at UCHealth Eye Center, located in Aurora, CO, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing patient care. We are looking for a passionate Ophthalmic Assistant who will assist eye care providers in delivering high-quality care and support clinical activities.

Position Details:

• Location: UCHealth Eye Center AMC, 12401 East 17th Avenue, Aurora, CO
• Work Schedule: Full Time, 80 hours per pay period (2 weeks), Days
• Compensation: $21.49 - $27.94/hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist eye care providers with various patient care tasks under their supervision.
• Conduct basic optometric testing, scribe functions, diagnostic testing, and administer medications as directed.
• Support minor procedures and manage prescription refill processes as instructed.
• Document patient information, provide education, and process charges effectively to ensure a smooth flow of patient care.
• Utilize critical thinking skills and maintain composure in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must complete the Ophthalmic Medical Assisting Independent Study Course or JCAHPO Career Advancement Tool (JCAT) within two years of hire.
• Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) required within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification needed prior to starting, with a valid card from a recognized provider.
