Program Highlights

Your real-world experience will involve collaborating closely with Cardinal Health professionals, business partners, customers, and vendors on significant projects and daily responsibilities. You will also engage in a planning committee to enhance your leadership skills and conclude your summer by presenting your findings to senior leaders.

Job Description Summary

Location: Memphis, Tennessee

Start Date: May 18 or 26, 2026

Hours: Approximately 40 hours a week for a minimum of 10 weeks

As an Operations Intern, you will have the opportunity to support the organization in various impactful ways:

• Collaborate with site leaders to identify, analyze, and implement process improvements
• Document and present solutions to enhance operational efficiency, consistency, and cost-effectiveness
• Develop and maintain performance and productivity metrics
• Work alongside leaders in functional areas including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, and storage
• Assist in managing daily warehouse operations to optimize workflow and boost productivity
• Experience hands-on processing of orders, including quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, and preparing shipments
• Cross-train in various areas of the warehouse and participate in special projects
• Analyze existing key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Design and document workflows for operational effectiveness
• Identify opportunities for reporting and data visualization to enhance metrics analysis
• Participate in a Kaizen event

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Management, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field (preferred)
• Expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027 (preferred)
• Familiarity with supply chain principles, Lean Six Sigma, or improvement techniques (preferred)
• Comfortable working in a warehouse setting
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical capabilities
• Involvement in extracurricular activities, community organizations, and/or professional associations
• Must have unlimited work authorization in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Anticipated hourly rate: $22.00 per hour
