Operations Specialist - Mid

Amentum is seeking an Operations Specialist to join our team of passionate individuals in Washington, DC . In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission.

As a Top Secret cleared Information Operations Specialist you will be working in an organization that’s mission is to develop and operate the best possible software for critical national security enterprise applications.

You will be responsible for providing reports on a scheduled basis as well as an ad-hoc basis. Will be responsible for creating and maintaining new Service Level Agreements. Identify gaps in workflow processes and present plausible solutions to government management/leads/staff. Analyze and assess customer service requests and provide prompt technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating, producing, and maintaining ticketing system reports and metrics reports.

• Responsible for providing reports on a scheduled basis as well as an ad-hoc basis. Will be responsible for creating and maintaining new Service Level Agreements.

• Identify gaps in workflow processes and present plausible solutions to government management/leads/staff.

• Analyze and assess customer service requests and provide prompt technical solutions.

• Prepare and submit progress, status and ad hoc reports to management and team leads, as required.

• Utilize trouble ticketing software for opening/updating/closing tickets in a timely and appropriate manner.

• Identify and document areas for process improvements. Contact and effectively communicate with users by telephone, electronic communications, or in person.

• Analyzes the results of workflow plans, monitors the operating system(s) and recommends changes to improve processing and utilization.

• Provides technical guidance for planning, directing, and monitoring information systems operations.

• Plans and recommends machine modifications or additional equipment to increase the capacity of the system.

• Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.

• Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.

• Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

Requirements:

• Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop solutions.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to effectively collaborate with various teams and stakeholders • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and work under pressure

• Experience in planning, executing and managing projects

• Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis tools

• Working knowledge of SharePoint

• Possess attention to detail, initiative, and people skills.

Clearance Required:

• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Security, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline

• In absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements

Minimum Years of Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience

The base salary range for this position is $130k to $140k . This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
