Cardinal Health offers an exciting Summer Internship Program designed for undergraduate students ready to take their first steps into the dynamic healthcare industry. Over the course of 10-12 weeks, interns will tackle significant projects that have a real impact on our business, all while developing valuable skills.

Program Highlights:

Experience real-world challenges as you work with Cardinal Health professionals, business partners, and vendors. Each intern will also join a planning committee aimed at enhancing leadership abilities, culminating in a presentation of their work to business leaders at the end of the summer.

Job Description Summary:

Location: Aurora, Illinois

Start Date: May 18 or 26, 2026

Hours: Approximately 40 hours a week for at least 10 weeks

As an Operations Intern, you may support the organization by:

• Collaborating with site leaders to identify, analyze, and implement new or improved processes.
• Documenting and presenting solutions to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Developing and maintaining performance metrics.
• Assisting leaders in key functional areas including shipping, storage, and delivery.
• Participating in daily warehouse operations and optimizing workflow.
• Engaging in key performance indicator (KPI) analysis and reporting.
• Contributing to a Kaizen event for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively with diverse teams across the organization.
• Show initiative and ownership in managing tasks.
• Adapt flexibly to changing business priorities.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and improvement techniques (Lean Six Sigma is a plus).
• Comfortably navigate a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills.
• Engagement in extracurricular activities or community organizations.
• Must have unlimited work authorization in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Anticipated hourly rate: $22.00 per hour.
