8:15 - 5:00

Hours may vary depending on the needs of the office.

Salary: GS 9 - $76,000 – $99,000; GS 10 - $84,000 – $109,000

Full Performance level: GS 10

Number of Positions Available: 2

Duration: Full Time / Permanent

Additional selections may be made from this announcement to fill positions within the same division when the position includes substantially the same duties, responsibilities, and qualifications.

Mission Statement

The mission of the FBI is to protect the American People and uphold the Constitution of the United States.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plans work to be accomplished, sets priorities, and prepares schedules of work to be performed. Monitors status and progress, adjusts priorities and assignments to meet workload and deadlines.
  • Assigns and distributes work to subordinates based on difficulty, priority, requirements, and workload. Explains requirements, priorities, and deadlines; furnishes special instructions for non-routine tasks.
  • Discusses work performance with employees, provides guidance; routinely meets with subordinates across all shifts.
  • Maintains working knowledge of all shift assignments and duties to facilitate coverage and cross-training.
  • Resolves routine personnel and administrative problems by recommending a course of action or referring serious issues to a supervisor.
  • Approves annual/sick leave and vacation schedules, ensuring adequate office coverage at all times.

Specialized Experience (SE)

GS 9: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 8 grade level. SE is defined as follows:

  • Provided leadership to facilitate operations and accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Orally communicated to provide advice and guidance relative to work operations; made recommendations; and/or resolved issues among employees, supervisors, and/or managers.
  • Resolved conflicts and disagreements constructively to prevent counterproductive confrontations.

GS 10: Applicants must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 9 grade level. SE is defined as follows:

  • Provided supervision/leadership to maintain efficient work flow, improve operations, and/or streamline processes and procedures.
  • Orally communicated to provide advice and guidance relative to work operations; made recommendations; and/or resolved issues among employees, supervisors, and/or managers.
  • Counseled employees on behavior, resolved grievances; tracked progress according to rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Identified and analyzed problems related to personnel or work functions and generated possible resolutions.

Education

GS 9 & 10: Education may not be substituted for specialized experience.
