We are looking for an outgoing nurse or athletic trainer who can work independently. The primary job duties of the selected individual include initial assessment/treatment of work-related injuries, processing Workman's compensation paperwork, involvement with the safety team, stretching programs, and work hardening programs with employees.

Job Summary: Provides health care services to the organization's employees in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides treatments for work-related injuries and related injuries.
• Conducts pre-employment health screenings and immunization clinics.
• Ensures compliance with applicable workplace safety laws and regulations. May also conduct safety training programs.
• Provides employee counseling and referrals for occupational injuries and illnesses as well as other health-related matters.
• Monitors trends and causes of employee safety events and works with colleagues to identify areas of safety risk.
• As an SSM Health nurse, demonstrates the professional nursing standards defined in the professional practice model.
• Uses the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide his/her response to the current and evolving health and nursing needs of patients and patient populations.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.

Experience:

• Two years' registered nurse experience.

• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
