Your Role as a Nutrition Services Associate

• Ensure proper food temperatures for hot and cold items.
• Interpret and follow written recipes and verbal instructions accurately.
• Efficiently break down carts and clear scraps from patient trays.
• Assemble and deliver late patient trays, supplements, and special requests as needed.
• Portion, weigh, and garnish food according to specific diet plans and menus.
• Assemble patient trays promptly to meet service timelines.
• Assist patients in completing their meal selections.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned areas.
• Organize and manage time effectively to accomplish all tasks.

Qualifications

• Possession of a food handler's permit, if required by regulations.
• Preferred training in food preparation for therapeutic diets.
• Experience in institutional and special function cooking is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety practices preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekdays, weekends, and possible night shifts as needed.
