Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Pediatric Pulmonology

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN or PA works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. This is primarily outpatient with some inpatient, no procedures involved. Mon thru Friday no weekends or holidays. Preference for pediatric experience. Critical care (PICU, PED).

Responsibilities include performing and documenting accurate, complete, and relevant history and physical assessments, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, managing general medical and surgical conditions, prescribing medication safely and effectively, and providing patient- and family-centered care. The role also involves promoting Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) APN practice recognition, adhering to HMH nursing protocols, and participating in clinical research activities.

Qualifications required include a graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program, a master's or doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, and a NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License. Required licenses and certifications include an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (w/ Master's Degree), BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification, and board certification by AANP or ANCC. Compensation is a minimum of $153,275.20 annually, with additional benefits including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
