Here's What You Need

n
• n

  Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine required or

  n
n
• n

  Associates Degree preferred

  n
n
• n

  2 Years in nuclear medicine preferred

  n
n
• n

  ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Nuclear Medicine upon hire required or

  n
n
• n

  CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist upon hire required and

  n
n
• n

  CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required and

  n
n
• n

  BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

  n
n

What You Will Do

n
• n Explain procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to examnn
n
• n Position patient to correct anatomical area of interestnn
n
• n Perform complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerationsnn
n
• n Adjust technique parameters appropriately for age related factorsnn
n
• n Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic techniquenn
n
• n Maintain attention to detailsnn
n
• n Process and manipulate images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments, or repeat procedures as needed 8. Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RISnn
n
• n Correctly send and transfer images to PACSnn
n
• n Print laser images, CD, or sends images from modality, Ambra, or PACSnn
n
• n Coordinate with Scheduling and other modalities for patient carenn
n
