Education

n
• n Other Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine required Ornn
n
• n Associate's Degree preferrednn
n

Experience

n
• n 2 years in nuclear medicine preferrednn
n

Licenses and Certifications

n
• n ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Nuclear Medicine upon hire required Ornn
n
• n CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) upon hire required Andnn
n
• n CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required Andnn
n
• n BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly requirednn
n

What You Will Do

Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing

n
• n Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to examnn
n
• n Positions patient to correct anatomical area of interestnn
n

Patient Care

n
• n Uses multidisciplinary, team-oriented actionsnn
n
• n Assesses and recognizes the patients emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditionsnn
n

Equipment Operation and Maintenance

• n Adjusts technical factorsnn

• n Operates, cares for and maintains equipmentnn

Professional Accountability and Partnership

• n Maintains and enhances technical skills and technology advancementnn
