Role Overview:

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in patient care within the Operating Room, collaborating closely with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing the Operating Room with necessary supplies and instruments tailored for surgical procedures.
Assisting in gathering essential materials including x-rays and patient information.
Effectively communicating patient information to the RN.
Utilizing aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment while handling tools and equipment.
Documenting all quality controls meticulously according to unit specific standards.
Participating in problem-solving and team-building activities to enhance team dynamics.
Organizing tasks efficiently to prioritize patient care.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited technical program for Surgical Technologists.
Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required (CST, Tech in Surgery - Certified, or NRST).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

Physical and Professional Requirements:

Strong visual acumen to interpret medical information and discern details.
Ability to lift, carry, and move objects frequently; physical stamina is essential for extended periods of standing and mobility.
