Network Security Administrator

The Network Security System Administrator will work within the Network Security Implementation and Sustainment (NSIS) Services, and will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Network Security Boundaries. Responsibilities include:

• Managing network security boundary infrastructure and any processes related to the systems.
• Providing support to network security boundaries including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, load balancers, etc.
• Providing Tier 1 (Basic help desk resolution) and Tier 2 (in-depth technical support) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Providing support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Providing support for hardware problems and remaining involved in the resolution process.
• Configuring and managing network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, and load balances and installing/loading operation system software, and troubleshooting, maintaining integrity, and configuring network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of SA experience with a Bachelor's degree. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors degree.
