Neonatology Nurse Practitioner

Summary:

We are seeking dedicated Neonatology Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) to join our healthcare team. As an NNP, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive and compassionate care across the wellness-illness continuum. You will autonomously diagnose and treat patients with both undifferentiated symptoms and established diagnoses. Your responsibilities will include conducting complete histories, performing thorough physical examinations, and managing acute and chronic illnesses in neonates and infants up to one year of age.

Your scope of practice will encompass health promotion, disease prevention, health education, and counseling for patients and families. You will also be responsible for ordering, performing, supervising, and interpreting vital laboratory and imaging studies, prescribing medications, and making referrals as needed. Additionally, you will select and perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures as clinically indicated.

Requirements:

• Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nursing
• Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• NRP Certification
• Previous neonatal experience is required
