Your talent will help elevate performances, auditions, and rehearsals for groups like the Duke Chorale and individual musicians.

Bring your artistry to life in a dynamic academic setting. You'll play complex music with precision and passion, both through sight reading and dedicated practice. Whether accompanying vocalists or instrumentalists, your work will help shape the musical experience at Duke.

What you'll do:

• Provide piano accompaniment for musical groups, including the Duke Chorale, individual singers, and musicians.
• Support auditions, rehearsals, and performances with professional-level accompaniment.
• Perform complex music with a combination of sight reading and outside practice.
• Take on additional duties as assigned to support the department's evolving needs.

Preferred candidates will bring:

• At least 2 years of post-secondary education in music or piano accompaniment.
• 2 years of experience as an accompanist or collaborative pianist or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
