Multi-Modality Radiologic Technologist

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Multi-Modality Radiologic Technologist to join our Imaging Department. In this role, you will operate multiple imaging technologies, which may include Diagnostic Radiology, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Special Procedures, Nuclear Medicine, or Mammography. You will perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and play a key role in patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate leadership qualities as per OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Utilize advanced computerized imaging equipment to perform a range of diagnostic procedures across multiple modalities.
• Exhibit flexibility to competently adapt within assigned modalities as required.
• Engage effectively with patients and care providers to coordinate and prioritize procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and continuity.
• Be willing to rotate through departments and clinics to support coverage needs.
• After each procedure, ensure that all exam data is accurately entered into the PACS system.
• Maintain a clean and organized exam room, ensuring compliance with Infection Control standards prior to each exam.
• Accurately code and enter all charges into the billing system.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and disclose information only as necessary during job performance.
• Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
• Adapt patient assessment and care methods to meet the diverse physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of each individual.
• Comply with policies, procedures, and standards as required by State and Federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.

• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

• Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program or other approved equivalent is required.

Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical setting is required.
• Basic proficiency in computer operations is essential.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service experience is required.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Active certification in one of the following primary modalities is required:

1. Radiography (R) (ARRT)
2. Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) (ARRT or NMTCB)
3. Sonography (S) (ARRT or ARDMS)

• Active certification in one of the following post primary modalities is required:

1. Mammography (M) (ARRT)
2. CT (ARRT)
3. MRI (ARRT)
4. Bone Densitometry (BD) (ARRT)
5. Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) (ARRT)
6. Breast Sonography (ARRT)
7. Vascular Sonography (VS) (ARRT)

• State Licensure is necessary based on the modality.

1. Texas: MRT by TMB
2. Louisiana: LRT (R), (N), or (F) by LSRTBE
3. New Mexico: RRT, DMS, NMT, CT, FUS, MRT, or VS by MIRTP NMED

• BLS certification is a requirement.
