MRI Technologist Opportunity

Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify and confirm anatomical orientation on MRI images and manage proper file identification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating MRI machines and associated technologies.
• Ensure safety and comfort for all patients entering the MR room through education and proper screening protocols.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, patients, and families.
• Conduct quality control, operate MRI procedures efficiently, and assist radiologists while ensuring continuity of patient care.
• Review patient requisitions for proper examination setup and confirm alignment with diagnostic requirements.
• Educate patients on procedures and technologies to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Provide coverage for call-outs or high patient schedules as needed.
• Mentor new hires and assist in their training.
• Adhere to quality and regulatory standards including HIPAA and ACR accreditation protocols.
• Maintain CPR certification and keep abreast with best practices through continued education.
• Foster positive relationships with patients and referring providers to ensure an excellent experience.
• Exhibit teamwork by collaborating with colleagues across the department.
• Handle patient examinations with care, ensuring technical accuracy and quality assurance.
• Be adaptable, accountable, and maintain professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification.
• MRI certification is a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine.
• 1+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to navigate department computerized systems effectively.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Vision must be correctable to 20/20 for equipment operation and film review.

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $28.27 to $50.48 based on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, a comprehensive benefits package, 401k contributions, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.
