Works with the Cardiac Imaging team to coordinate care for cardiac MRI patients. Monitor image quality and work closely with physicians and technologists to develop, maintain, and ensure proper application of all image acquisition and post-processing protocols. Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate educational programs related to cardiac imaging and assist with research projects to improve the knowledge and practice of providers and staff in relation to cardiac imaging. Assist in establishing partnerships with community and regional healthcare providers to develop improved cardiac imaging care processes.
Summary

Job Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
For West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland locations:
1. Bachelor of Science (BS) or Arts (BA) college degree or equivalent clinical degree
2. MRI Certification through ARRT or ARMRIT.
3. West Virginia State Licensure as an MRI Tech, or applicable state licensure where services will be performed.
4. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Five (5) years of experience in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging
For Pennsylvania locations:
1. Completion of an Accredited Radiography School or an undergraduate degree in an associated healthcare discipline.
2. MRI Certification through ARRT or ARMRIT.
3. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Five (5) years of experience in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. They are not intended to be constructed as an all-inclusive list of all responsibilities and duties. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Oversee the Cardiovascular MR department's quality assurance.
2. Provide and facilitate feedback to the department lead/supervisor and techs as necessary and conducting quality meetings.
3. Optimize image quality and implement standardized protocols by partnering with physicians, Physicists, local tech staff, and vendors.
4. Support and troubleshoot examination issues at the main campus, satellite, and/or any outreach location(s). It may require travel.
5. Assist departments in obtaining or maintaining accreditation through ACR or The Joint Commission.
6. Design, create and implements training programs.
7. Provide a sustainable structure to provide ongoing training and education at all sites.
8. Train staff directly and/or through training the trainer on proper protocol usage, patient positioning, acquiring complete studies, and the importance of obtaining full information and images on patients with complex pathologies.
9. Develops methods of auditing and tracking protocol adherence.
10. Collaborate in Multidisciplinary Research
