Job Summary: As an RN at Sinai Hospital, the RN provides safe age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.
This is a PRN position that will be scheduled as needed.
Unit Summary
The Mother-Baby unit has 23 adult beds and 35 full-term nursery beds. We follow AWHONN staffing guidelines each nurse has three mother-baby couplets assigned to her care. We also take care of expectant mothers who have pregnancy complications postpartum readmission (within 6 weeks of delivery) and occasionally post-operative GYN surgical patients. All of our rooms are private with sleeping accommodations for one adult visitor of the patient's choice. We promote family bonding our newest initiatives are maternal health equity identification and management of postpartum hemorrhage and severe range blood pressures and exclusive breastfeeding.
Requirements: Basic professional knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's degree working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field. At least 1 year of M/B experience. Maryland Registered Nurse License American Heart Association BLS Certification. NRP must be obtained prior to orientation completion.
