Manages and coordinates the daily operations of assigned clinical departments in collaboration with the Director and Department's Medical Director. Plans and organizes all clinical functions including staffing and staff development, purchasing and budgeting. Coordinates implementation of disease management/wellness systems under the direction of the physicians.

Education

Required - Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or related field.

Work Experience

Required - Three years of related health care experience preferably in an inpatient care setting including two years of supervision or management experience OR seven years of related health care experience preferably in an inpatient setting including two years of supervision or management experience may be substituted in lieu of educational requirements.

Certifications

Required - Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Care, with current Louisiana licensure. Current licensure or permit in State of Practice.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of required job information.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
• Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, keyboard, and various software packages specific to role.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, administration, nurses and support staff.
• Excellent judgment, decision-making, and delegating skills.
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, and maintain complete confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to manage within a budget, understand financial statements sufficient to analyze trends, and make recommendations.
