Salary Range: $20.00 - $28.00

Position Overview

As a Medication Assistant (MA), you will play a vital role as a caregiver, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will be responsible for:

• Delivering age-appropriate care in accordance with each resident's needs and care plan.
• Assisting residents with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Recording vital signs and providing psycho-social support to enhance their well-being.
• Administering prescribed medications as delegated by licensed nursing staff within the scope of practice as defined by state regulations.
• Documenting care outcomes, medication administration, and any changes in resident conditions and communicating these to the charge nurse.
• Supporting residents during meals and creating an enjoyable dining experience.
• Providing housekeeping and laundry services to maintain cleanliness in living areas.
• Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should:

• Have a minimum age of 18 (preferred).
• Possess a high school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Have prior experience in clinical or nursing assistant roles in long-term care settings (preferred).
• Complete ongoing competency testing and maintain required certifications, including CNA and CMA based on state requirements.
