Shift: 12 Hours - Day Shifts

Job Schedule: Full time

Weekly Hours: 36.00

Salary Range: $20.00 - $28.50

Job Summary

As a Medication Assistant (MA), you will play a crucial role in providing resident-centered nursing care and essential daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will be responsible for:

• Delivering age-appropriate care tailored to the physical and psychological needs of residents.
• Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Administering prescribed medications as delegated, while following all state regulations.
• Documenting resident care outcomes, medication administration, and any changes in condition.
• Providing basic health care, including vital sign monitoring and dietary support.
• Encouraging resident participation in wellness and recreational activities.
• Maintaining cleanliness in living areas and assisting with housekeeping tasks.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• A high school diploma or GED (preferred but not required).
• A minimum age of 18 (preferred).
• Previous clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care (preferred).
• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification specific to your state, along with successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course.

Continuing education and maintaining certifications are essential, with a minimum of 12 hours required annually.
