Schedule: Evening shifts for 8 hours with rotation every 4th weekend and 2 holidays a year.

Job Summary:
If you are detail-oriented and eager to broaden your clinical laboratory skills while seeking continuous knowledge, we want you on our team. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely testing and quality results from samples, empowering nursing staff and providers to make informed decisions for their patients. Whether in a hospital or clinic setting, numerous opportunities exist for growth and making a substantial impact in our community.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures for MLS/MLTs.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify safety hazards and follow established safety protocols.
• Collect and process lab specimens using the appropriate equipment.
• Perform clinical laboratory testing, employing both manual and automated methods.
• Collect and manage blood and other fluid samples from patients.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in laboratory or biological sciences required. Candidates must possess national certification for Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, such as the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or be registry eligible. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) is also acceptable. If you are registry eligible, you must complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment. Candidates working in North Dakota (ND) must be licensed by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice and maintain continuing education credits as required for licensure and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be needed.
