Job Summary
The B-Level Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on the Employee Shuttle Busses.

Weekly pay for hourly employees (CA employees are paid bi-weekly)
Job Duties
Performs preventative and routine maintenance such as oil changes, replacing/adding coolants and fluids, brake and tire changes, etc. on ground equipment.
Performs minor/major repair of ground support equipment such as carburetors, starter motors, alternators, batteries, radiators, hydraulic drive components, diesel engines, etc.
Transports vehicles to be repaired by driving, towing, or pushing vehicle into service bay.
Inspects parts and/or motor vehicles to identify defective or broken parts, proper fluid levels and general wear.
Troubleshoots problems with ground support and stationary equipment. Receives work orders and obtains the necessary tools required for the repair. Completes work orders and provides status on any "open" work orders.
Ensures tools and equipment are maintained in an effective, safe working condition.
Orders parts, stock parts and maintains inventory with accurate record keeping.
Assists GSE Mechanic (Skilled) as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experienced technician: Has experience in a variety of repairs and can diagnose and repair most vehicle components with some supervision.
Can perform most repairs: Can handle most repairs within the shop's capabilities, though may need guidance on more complex issues.
Seeking to advance: Is often working towards achieving A-level status.
May specialize: Can focus on certain areas of expertise.
Possess a valid Driving License.
Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.
High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
Possess a Valid TN CDL A or B with a P endorsement.
One+ year of relevant ground support equipment experience. Must be open-minded and ready to work as part of a detail-oriented team.
ASE Certification (Society of Automotive Engineers), CIMM (Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic) or licenses in one or more of the following disciplines is required:
Refrigeration/Partial Refrigeration
Welding/Partial Welding
Electrical/Relay
Hydraulics/Electrical/Mechanical on large industrial machinery
400HZ/Generator/Ground Power
Physical Requirements
Must be able to constantly lift, move up to 70 lbs, push, pull; and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, grasp outwards and bend.
Working Conditions
Must be able to work rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
