Join our dynamic team as a Materials Handler - Returns Specialist , where you will play a vital role in efficiently processing inbound returns and outbound merchandise to vendors. Your responsibilities will ensure that our warehouse operations run smoothly, and your attention to detail will help us maintain high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload various types of merchandise from Ozark route trucks and organize them in designated staging areas.
- Verify and match incoming merchandise with the driver’s manifest to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in wrapping, loading, and shipping outbound merchandise efficiently.
- Inspect returns by scanning and verifying store manifests, and separate merchandise into the correct staging areas.
- Organize and neatly stack rebuilt core and warranty items as per designated areas.
- Follow established procedures for staging, auditing, and preparing products for shipment.
- Sort and prepare new merchandise for shipment and maintain proper inventory levels.
- Manage reboxing of new merchandise and maintain stock of boxes for specific lines.
- Sort warranty items into appropriate vendor bins and coordinate with vendor representatives.
- Handle all HazMat chemicals and oil disposal according to company policies.
- Process recalls, changeovers, and non-stock merchandise.
- Assist with all demo, used and loaner equipment transactions and their corresponding paperwork.
- Test and process warranty batteries, and recondition as necessary.
- Maintain a neat and clean work area while adhering to safety standards.
- Trainee responsibilities for experienced team members, including conducting training and documentation for new team members.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills are required; advanced computer skills are preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is desired.
- Familiarity with the automotive warehouse or store industry is a plus.
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish, is highly desired.
