Master Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a well-rounded Master Maintenance Technician with experience in plastic injection molding. As a Tier 1 automotive supplier, we design and manufacture functional exterior trim products, including roof racks, running boards, and cargo management systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, set up, and operate production equipment, troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment failures.
• Fabricate using MIG and TIG welders, vertical/horizontal band saws, bridge port mill, and lathe.
• Update and complete preventative and non-preventative work orders.
• Perform fabrication of parts/equipment.
• Respond to service calls to inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machine problems, determining proper corrective action.
• Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Maintain parts inventory for common replaceable items and daily recordkeeping within the computer maintenance management software (CMMS).

Essential Skills

• 7 years + of industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Electrical experience, including 3-phase, 480v, and PLC troubleshooting.
• 1 year + as a maintenance technician in a plastic injection facility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with PLC control and electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong fabrication skills using various welding and machining equipment.

Work Environment

Work in an automotive plant that is sometimes noisy and dusty, but generally clean and organized. The shift is from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Saturday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Technicians will rotate weekends.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saline, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
