The Massage Therapist is responsible for performing massage therapy and related services to clients.

A day in the life of a Massage Therapist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

• Provides a pampering, relaxing, safe and controlled environment for the clients.
• Assists clients with the sale of and guidance with retail products.
• Communicates and coordinates any services or issues for the client.
• Educates clients on an ongoing basis about new massage and treatment services.
• Participates in marketing strategies.
• Provides laundering, food and beverage service as needed.
• Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (i.e., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.). This process includes communicating with the patient, parent, and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.).
• Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Graduate from an accredited school.
• Post Graduate credits and/or training.
• 5 years professional experience.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist.

Compensation: Minimum rate of $26.71 Hourly HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
