Job Duration: 3+ months contract
We are seeking Manufacturing Engineers II to join our growing team in Merritt Island, FL. In this role, you will translate engineering intent into high-quality, flight-ready hardware while driving improvements in quality, cost, and efficiency across the production process.
Open Positions by Shift

8 - Standard Day Shift (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
1 - Production B Shift (Mon-Thu, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM)
2 - Production C Shift (Fri-Sun, 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions for fabrication, assembly, and integration.
Manage quality, build sequence, and schedule for assigned hardware.
Perform engineering drawing reviews and support design changes.
Lead non-conformance investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Design and implement material handling and packaging solutions .
Collaborate with design, test, and operations teams as a liaison engineer .
Drive process improvements, Lean Manufacturing, and Design for Manufacturability (DfM/ DfMA) .
Support the manufacturing floor with assembly, installation, and discrepancy resolution.

Qualifications (Must-Have)

BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related field .
3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience (fabrication, assembly, testing).
Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications .
Hands-on experience in mechanical system design, fabrication, and testing .
Knowledge of process design, measurement, and optimization .
Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment .

Desired Skills (Nice-to-Have)

Aerospace or launch vehicle hardware experience .
Experience with welding, machining, integration, instrumentation, packaging .
Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, etc.) .
Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) .
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality systems .
