Manual Machinist

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization in the metalworking industry, is seeking a Manual Machinist to join their team. As a Manual Machinist, you will be part of the Production Department supporting the Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have precision, dedication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Manual Machinist

Location: Gadsden, AL

Pay Range: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

What's the Job?

• Set up and operate manual machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to produce precise metal parts.
• Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet strict specifications and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal operation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in manual machining.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
