The Jim Thorpe Inpatient Rehabilitation Manager Rehab Admissions is responsible for leading and managing all inpatient admissions staff, functions and processes in the referral and admissions of patients and their families to the Jim Thorpe Inpatient Rehabilitation program. This position is also responsible for leading and management of PPS Coordinator, Coding, and IRF-PAI functions. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
Responsibilities
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Admission Supervisor essential functions Include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Responsible for leading and managing all inpatient admissions staff, functions and processes in the referral and admissions of patients and their families to the Jim Thorpe Inpatient Rehabilitation program.
* Develops processes, policies, workflow and guidelines to ensure timely, effective, efficient and consistent service standards are met at all levels within the Jim Thorpe Inpatient referral/admission system.
* Conducts as needed effective pre-admission evaluations by completing required documents and communicating in a timely and effective manner all pertinent clinical information and patient updates to admitting physicians to make admissions decisions and meet regulatory guidelines.
* Responsible for development of department specific budgets, standards and performance indicators /outcomes.
* Manages and update referral/admission information system and implement actions plans for continuous process improvement and to achieve targeted budget and performance indicators /outcomes.
* Ensures all referral sources, patients and family members have the proper program and admission information; and are aware specifically of admission requirements for participation in Inpatient rehabilitation
* Responsible for the PPS functions, coding, and oversight of the IRF-PAI processes
* Responsible for the budgeting of department and shall establish expense controls and authorize the expenditures for the day-to-day operation of the department.
* Responsible for performance monitoring/evaluation for the inpatient admissions and PPS staff. Reports to assigned leader This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Exposed to a variety of constant interruptions and some extreme time deadlines. Multiple projects handled at one time. Long and irregular hours required. Qualifications
* Current Clinical Licensure of good standing within Oklahoma as Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist
* 3 years of experience in hospital or rehabilitation experience
* Valid Oklahoma driver's license and automobile insurance verification
* Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written/verbal)
* Computer software/hardware experience
