Position Details
KPMG is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager in our Accounting Methods and Credit Services practice to focus on federal tax credits related to energy and manufacturing incentives.
Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in federal tax credits such as ITC, PTC, CHIPS, 45X, 45Q, 45U, 45V, 45Z, and others introduced or amended by the IRA.
- Support new business development and maintain excellent client service by networking and relationship building.
- Manage projects involving technical interviews, document reviews, and credit calculations.
- Establish project management frameworks, communication protocols, and data systems, providing oversight throughout project cycles.
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager
- Supervise, develop, and mentor staff and junior team members.
Qualifications
- At least five years of recent experience managing tax credit projects, preferably in a large accounting firm, corporation, or law firm.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensed CPA, JD/LLM, or have an advanced degree or professional certification such as MBA, MCM, PhD, PE, LEED, Enrolled Agent, or Six Sigma. Candidates without these must obtain one within a year of employment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, experienced in industry and client research, and familiar with the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging senior management and technical staff.
- Willingness to travel and work at client sites.
Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager
- Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in tax credit consulting.
