Overview

The Manager, Development (Acquisitions) plays a lead role in the development and execution of acquisition strategy and in the deal negotiation/structuring, financial analysis, deal execution and market research and analysis. The Manager reports to the Senior Vice President, Development.

Responsibilities

  Works with others to develop a strategy to guide the Company’s acquisition focus areas

  n

• n

  Does market research and analysis to identify acquisition opportunities

  n
n
• n

  Obtains and analyzes business and financial information from target companies

  n
n
• n

  Develops financial pro formas and models related to acquisition opportunities and works with operations to determine fits with existing operations including potential business synergies

  n

• n

  Structures and negotiates transaction terms in consultation with the Senior Vice President, Development

  n
n
• n

  Leads the due diligence process for potential acquisitions

  n
n

Qualifications

n
• n

  Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other business-related advanced degree desirable

  n
n
• n

  One to four years’ experience in acquisition-related business/activities

  n
n
• n

  Experience developing financial models, pro formas and projections

  n
n
• n

  Knowledge of Company’s core businesses

  n
n
• n

  Strong analytical and problem resolution skills with high attention to detail and organization

  n
n
• n

  Excellent communication (oral and written) skills

  n
n
• n

  Extensive knowledge of current industry trends, standards, and practices

  n
n
• n

  Ability to communicate effectively and professionally (verbal and written) with all levels of personnel internal and external to the company

  n
n
• n

  Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  n
n
• n

  Ability to develop rapport and relationships with owners/managers of target companies

  n
n
• n

  Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

  Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
