As a member of the team, you have a direct impact on design and feature enhancements to keep our systems running smoothly. You also ensure that network operations are safe and efficient by monitoring network performance, coordinating planned maintenance, adjusting hardware components and responding to network connectivity issues. Google's complex network generates a constant stream of challenges which require you to continually be innovative with an evolving set of technologies. This team is responsible for the system level design and deployment of the global fiber optic network that connects Google's data centers to the world. This network allows Google to function as a global computer, ensuring continuous flow of data to and from all corners of the planet. Our mission is to deliver WAN capacity and activate flows to enable Alphabet's dynamic growth by improving the quality of life by connecting humanity.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$254,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of individuals; set and communicate individual and team priorities that support organizational goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development, and provide feedback and coaching.
• Direct and prioritize resources while maintaining quality and adherence to network standards.
• Collaborate as a subject matter expert to ensure adoption of network infrastructure standards.
• Deliver network capacity for Google via generation of bill of materials, deployment packages, device management, vendor management, and standard workflow based activation.
• Triage network issues, identify root causes, generate maintenance operation procedures, and orchestrate network repair and completion of on-site work in support of the repair activity.
