Major Incident Manager - Onsite
Location: Fort Mill, SC (Onsite Position)
Experience: 6+ years

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage Major Incident (MI) bridge calls to resolve high-severity incidents impacting critical services.
Coordinate with cross-functional IT teams across infrastructure, applications, and business units.
Ensure timely communication to stakeholders and senior leadership within SLA timelines.
Document incident timelines, milestones, and resolution steps.
Maintain incident reports, metrics, and dashboards for continuous improvement.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to process enhancements.
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents outside business hours.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of experience in Major Incident Management.
Strong understanding of enterprise technologies: servers, databases, networks, mainframes, middleware, APIs, virtualization, etc.
Proficiency in incident management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Xmatters).
Solid grasp of ITIL principles; ITIL certification preferred.
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Salary and Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until 10/24/25.
The annual salary for this position is between $79,000- $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
