Responsibilities

As the Mailroom Supervisor, you'll supervise the activities and staffing of the mail distribution center.

• Develop and maintain mail room procedures for efficient and cost-effective service.
• Determine, coordinate and supervise daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.
• Provide leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
• Assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Prepare reports for leadership.
• Establish inventory policies and maintain levels of all printed materials within established guidelines and budget.
• Collect outgoing mail/packages, affix proper postage and prepare for receipt by postal agent.
• Arrange for pick-ups of all overnight/express mail by delivery agents.
• Sort incoming mail/parcels and distribute to proper recipients.
• Track and record volume of mail for reporting purposes.
• Update equipment, processes and services to meet the needs of the business.
• Very proficient with Microsoft Suite and Google applications.

Requirements

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 1 year of experience OR 2 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of experience can be used in lieu of education, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

Additional Preferences:

• 3-5 years of leadership experience in a supervisor role, preferred.
• 3-5 years mailroom operations experience, preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic mail room equipment, working with post office, management of of papers, faxes and checks, a must have.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Google sheets, a must have.
