Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in providing professional nursing care for residents in long-term care settings. Under the guidance of a registered nurse or physician, you will utilize your nursing knowledge to meet the physical and emotional needs of residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide counseling to residents and families regarding care plans and preventive measures.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide accurate resident education.
• Respond to emergent situations and assist in problem-solving.
• Perform other related duties as directed.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and hold a current, unencumbered LPN license. An associate degree in practical nursing is preferred. IV therapy skills may be required, depending on specific needs. Experience with clinical supervision across various age groups is essential, with a minimum of 400 hours of LPN experience strongly preferred.
