Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will ensure a positive and quality patient clinical experience in accordance with established standards, policies, and the nursing scope of practice. You will act as a liaison between the physician and the patient, ensuring that both parties' needs are recognized and resolved. Your role will include providing nursing care for patients in the clinic, assisting with exams, and maintaining detailed documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and regulatory standards.

• Coordinate the collection of all documentation required prior to the patient’s first visit, including labs, x-rays, pathology reports, and physician notes.

• Ensure patients are in the room and prepared to see the physician.

• Prepare equipment and implement physician orders.

• Direct patient flow as dictated by the treatment plan and observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to drugs.

• Administer medications as directed and document in the EMR.

• Coordinate and assist with discharge instructions, follow-up care, diagnostic tests, and medication instructions.

• Administer and document general nursing care.

• Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and judgment to clinical practice.

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.

• Resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.

Essential

• Experience with EHR systems required

• LPN license (required)

• Strong attention to detail

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Previous experience in an outpatient or specialty clinic preferred

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a clinical office environment.

• Ability to speak and understand other languages

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr.
