Emergency Medicine Physician Job Details

• Location: Amherst, OH 44001 (Cleveland area healthcare jobs)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens / PRN
• Practice Setting: Emergency Medicine & Urgent Care
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (8am - 8pm)
• Patient Volume: 30-35 patients per day
• Start Date: October 27, 2025
• Assignment End Date: January 24, 2026
• EMR: Epic
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $5,860 - $6,940

Emergency Medicine Physician Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Urgent Care
• Active Ohio medical license required
• Current DEA registration
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support) - can be provided if needed
• 1-2 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or family medicine
• Proficient in clinical procedures: suturing, abscess drainage, and minor emergency procedures
• Ability to interpret diagnostic studies (x-rays, EKGs)
• Meets all credentialing requirements for Ohio healthcare jobs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and staff

Emergency Medicine Physician Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality medical care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency and urgent care setting
• Perform clinical procedures including suturing, abscess drainage, and diagnostic interpretation
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Epic EMR
• Ensure patient satisfaction and uphold the highest standards of clinical service
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in urgent care operations, meetings, and ongoing professional development
• Maintain required certifications and support quality improvement initiatives
• Report directly to the Area Clinical Operations Director
