Physician Assistant Job Details

• Location: Flagstaff, AZ 86001 (Arizona healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Level 1 Trauma Center, 269 beds
• Contract Dates: October 16, 2025 - October 23, 2025 (7-day locum tenens assignment)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens Physician Assistant (Travel Contract)
• Shifts: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (6:00pm - 6:00am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $3980 - $4270
• Patient Census: 10-15 adult trauma patients per shift
• EMR: Cerner

Physician Assistant Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Physician Assistant in trauma surgery or acute care settings
• Board Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Active Arizona PA license or proof of application (Arizona PA jobs preferred)
• DEA license required
• ATLS certification required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to complete hospital credentialing within 30 days

Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive trauma and surgical care to adult patients in a high-acuity hospital environment
• Perform patient assessments, procedures, and documentation in collaboration with trauma surgeons
• Manage acute injuries and provide critical care support
• Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate charting and patient management
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and communicate effectively with the trauma healthcare team
• Ensure timely completion of medical records and case documentation
