WCS Healthcare is actively seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist for an ongoing assignment at a renowned surgery center in Woodbury, NY. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a dynamic surgical team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
Job Function:
- Day Shift.
- 7am - 3:30pm.
- Maintain proper sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation and document according to policy.
- Prepare patients for surgery as requested. Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, or anesthesiologists as needed.
- Wash and sterilize equipment using proper sterilization techniques. Operate, adjust, and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation .
- Take inventory and order surgical supplies as needed.
Job Requirements:
- 2 years of experience as a certified Surgical Tech working in an OR setting is required.
- Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- Hold Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
- BLS preferred (American Heart Association).
