Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15). Every other weekend required.

Job Description

This fast-paced unit specializes in orthopedic and neuro spine patients. Nurses are expected to manage multiple pain medications due to the high post-surgical and orthopedic patient population. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional customer service skills and the ability to effectively handle pain management.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic and neuro spine patients.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort while administering medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor high acuity patients and manage any complications that arise.
• Perform necessary nursing procedures, including IV therapy and telemetry monitoring.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in any inpatient acute care setting, with at least 1 year in orthopedics.
• First-time travelers accepted with EPIC experience.
• Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and intravenous therapy.
• Preferred charge nurse experience and Level I Trauma experience.
