Stepdown Registered Nurse
Location: 1111 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025
Schedule: Days, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Responsibilities:

• Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned, overseeing unit operations and staff coordination.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator, Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, or Shift Manager to ensure appropriate use of supplies and maintain adequate inventory for patient care.
• Identify and escalate any material, equipment, or staffing shortages to leadership as needed.
• Provide patient-centered, cost-effective care while efficiently utilizing staff, supplies, and other resources.
• Accurately and thoroughly document patient information in compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and legal requirements.
• Support efficient patient throughput and flow throughout each shift.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Active New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse License
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiology, Telemetry, or VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) care.
