Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, working three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 months of recent experience in a similar setting and will be required to possess a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license prior to starting. The nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, adhering to established standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and interpret ECG readings.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Permanent Ohio license or compact state license is required.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certification is required.
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start.
• A reference from a recent manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required.
• Successful completion of the ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation is mandatory.
