Licensed Practical Nurse - Nephrology/Infectious Disease

We are excited to invite a dedicated LPN to join our vibrant outpatient practice, focusing on Nephrology, Infectious Disease, and Student Health Services. This opportunity is based at the South Clinical Campus in Albany, NY, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Your role as an LPN will be crucial in providing direct patient care under the supervision of healthcare professionals. You will tackle essential clinical tasks and collaboratively enhance patient experiences within our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carefully obtain and record patients' vital signs.
• Document important aspects of patients’ medical histories.
• Maintain open communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Assist in in-office procedures under licensed healthcare provider supervision.
• Perform diagnostic CLIA waived testing accurately.
• Conduct venipuncture for blood collection for testing.
• Conduct prescription call-backs in accordance with your scope of practice.
• Prepare and organize patients' charts with relevant clinical information.
• Manage inventory supplies and ensure examination rooms are stocked.
• Comply with regulatory standards set by Albany Medical Center.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. - required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification - required upon hire.
• Previous experience in a patient care setting - preferred.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to present information effectively and respond to various stakeholders.

Physical Demands:

• Standing and walking - required frequently.
• Sitting - rarely.
• Lifting and carrying - performed often.
• Stooping, kneeling, and crouching - required often.
• Ability to communicate effectively through speech and hearing.

Working Conditions:
