Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to support, implement, and monitor nursing care effectively and efficiently.

Position Requirements:

Education:

1. Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
2. Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
3. BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Workplace Experience:

Experience in Patient Care Delivery.

Skills:

Ability to remain composed under pressure, work independently and collaboratively, and adapt nursing knowledge to various settings. Familiar with equipment including Order Entry Computer System, Telemetry, Omnicell Medication System.

Physical Environment:

Work occurs in a medical/surgical unit, caring for patients from infancy to over ninety-nine years of age.

Physical Effort:

1. Proficient communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
2. Ability to stand and work up to twelve hours a day.
3. Capability to push/pull objects up to 175 lbs.
4. Able to lift and turn patients with assistance, up to 250 lbs.

Performance Standards:

1. Conduct thorough observations and data collection at patient admission.
2. Customize care plans based on individual patient needs and nursing diagnoses.
3. Assist with patient education and discharge planning.
4. Independently execute treatments and procedures adhering to established policies.
5. Safely handle, transport, and administer solutions as required.
6. Monitor patient conditions, evaluate responses to treatments, and adjust care plans accordingly.
7. Document all patient information promptly and accurately.
8. Maintain a therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
9. Commit to continuous professional development.
10. Ensure effective communication within the healthcare team.
11. Uphold professionalism through cleanliness and orderliness in your work area.
