Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering professional nursing care to residents of all ages in long term care settings. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, you will:

• Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document interactions and outcomes related to resident care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals within an interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate effectively while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Counsel residents and families on treatment plans under supervision.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited practical nursing program; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with the State Nursing Board.
• Must have relevant clinical experience or a minimum of 400 hours as an LPN.
• Maintain department-specific competencies and certifications.
• Complete required annual continuing education units (CEUs).
