Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in offering professional nursing care to residents of all ages in a long-term care setting. Under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians, you will:

• Demonstrate comprehensive nursing knowledge pertinent to various clinical settings.
• Perform clinical evaluations and provide proper care as indicated in individual care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Document all resident interactions and outcomes related to their care, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Engage effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
• Support education and self-care strategies for residents, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
• Assist during emergencies by recognizing problems and recommending effective solutions.

Qualifications

To be considered, you should:

• Be a graduate from an accredited practical nursing program.
• Hold an unencumbered LPN license in your state, with multi-state licensure privileges preferred.
• Have completed a nursing program with supervised clinical experience or have at least 400 hours of LPN experience.
• Possess IV therapy/management skills if required for the position.
• Be committed to ongoing education and maintaining required competencies.
